Martina Lavin is the Executive officer for the office of the PVCI. She has worked at UNSW since 1999; the bulk of that time she spent as a Health and Safety Coordinator supporting most faculties and divisions at some stage over that period. She was also responsible for the chemical safety program for UNSW which included developing policies, procedures and guidelines for the management of hazardous chemicals, as well as development and delivery of chemical safety training. She also played a significant role in the implementation of the Jagger chemical inventory system across UNSW. Her transition from health and safety to senior administration began with the role of Executive Officer in the campus life and community engagement portfolio which included work units such as health services, early years, music performance unit, residential communities, Arc, Chaplaincy, sport and venues and events. Martina has a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Ireland) and a Masters in Teaching (WSU).
