Todd
Walton
Research Associate

Todd completed his PhD in human geography at UNSW in 2014 and has held various research and post-doctoral positions since.

Prior to his current role, Todd was awarded a grant to critically investigate the effectiveness of university outreach programs on rural students in NSW.

His scholarly work has included exploring cultural geographies of risk taking and beach going in Australia, the contribution of psychoanalysis to geographies of environmental behaviour, and human geographic approaches to evaluate equity and diversity support in tertiary education.

His research experience has included local and international project work and publications in the fields of human and physical geography, geoscience and safety science.

This has afforded Todd an understanding of the quantitative, qualitative and interpretative techniques and methods that he now applies to his current work in the field of higher education research at UNSW.
